Car Insurance Lexus (Car Insurance). I have a question about pilot school next year?

I have a question about pilot school next year? I'm attending pilot school next year (two year program). Can you guys give me advice for next year? On what to expect so I can prepare my-self. Example, reading, math? This is a serious program and I need to know what to expect. Thank you

You need to be able to add, subtract. multiply and divide, thats all. Average reading skills. Bone up on how an airplane flies, the four forces, bernouli's principle and all that. Study as much as you can about weather, weather charts, things of that nature. They'll teach you all you need to know, don't let anybody bluff you, it's not brain surgery. Just look forward to having fun!

A/C comrpessor replacing--- 04 expedition/navigator? I have a 2004 navigator 5.4 My compressor is leaking, and i will need to replace it soon, or fix it or whatever i actually need to do to stop the leak. I took a look and it seems very inaccessible. It looks like it can be removed by one of two methods but i cant confirm. there are mounting bolts visible from under the car, if i remove these will it just fall out or are their more bolts? there is a fan shroud obstructing access to the front and top of the compressor, can this be removed without removing the radiator? What will i actually need to remove to successfully access and remove the compressor? car insurance.

Lexus . The piston has a hole in it?

The piston has a hole in it? Its a 1955 Ford 600 tracter I noticed it had alot of blow by in the cranckcase it kept blowing out the the valve cover gasket. But it actually ran good besides that so I decided i was going to find out what was going on so I tore the motor down and the first thing I noticed was a hole the size of a pencil in the #3 piston the #2 ,#1 piston had real deep pits in it but the #4 piston looked fine. Im assuming it could be a timing issue but we have had this tracter for 27 years and it didnt happen overnite. I have also consider sense years ago they used lead based gasoline that maybe since we never used a lead additive that maybe this might be the cause What do you think???? Thanks for your answers!!!!! car insurance.

Pontiac Montana overheating? I have a 2001 Pontiac Montana with a 3.4L V6 and it will overheat when the car is NOT moving only. The Temperature stays normal when moving but it will creep up if stopped. It had an overheating problem in the past and had a rebuilt motor put in it. Im thinking it maybe the thermostat but I am not sure if that's the problem. Is it the thermostat or something else? car insurance.

Lexus . How to Replace the Thermostat on a 1992 Honda

The basic thermostat replacement process on all 1992 Honda makes is the same. The thermostat has a spring that releases when the thermostat reaches a certain temperature. Once the thermostat reaches the required temperature, the spring goes up, which lets coolant into the engine block. You can replace the thermostat on all 1992 Honda models in about a hour or two.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Pliers
Fluid Catch Pan
Flat scraper
Ratchet
Socket
New thermostat with gasket

Step by Step :
1
Park the car on a level surface and shut the engine off. Let the engine completely cool down before draining the coolant from the radiator.
2
Locate the radiator drain plug on the bottom passenger side of the radiator. Slide the fluid catch pan under the drain plug. Loosen the drain plug with a pair of pliers and let all of the coolant run into the catch pan.
3
Locate the thermostat housing. The thermostat housing on the 1992 Honda makes is located just to the right of the car battery. Follow the top radiator hose to the thermostat. The other end of the top radiator hose is connected to the thermostat housing tube.
4
Loosen and remove the clamp that holds the radiator hose to the thermostat housing tube with the pliers. Then slide the radiator hose off of the thermostat housing tube.
5
Remove the two thermostat housing bolts with a ratchet and a socket. The housing bolts on the 1992 Honda Accord and Civic can be removed with a ratchet and a 1/2-inch socket. Turn the bolts counter-clockwise to loosen and remove the bolts.
6
Bump the thermostat housing with your hand to loosen the suction that the thermostat has on the engine block. Pull the thermostat housing away from the block and set it to the side.
7
Pull the thermostat straight up out of the thermostat seat. Look at how the thermostat was positioned inside of the thermostat seat with the spring facing down.
8
Scrape the facing of the thermostat housing seat with a flat scraper to remove any of the old gasket. Then insert the new thermostat inside of the thermostat seat with the spring facing down into the seat.
9
Place the thermostat housing gasket onto the bottom of the thermostat housing. If needed you can apply the red heat resistant silicone to the gasket to hold it in place.

Step by Step :
10
Reinstall the thermostat housing over the thermostat seat. Put the two bolts back in place and screw them down with the ratchet and 1/2-inch socket. Inspect to make sure that the gasket not pinched anywhere around the thermostat housing.

Step by Step :
11
Slide the top radiator hose back on the thermostat housing tube. Then grasp the spring clamp with the pliers and slide the clamp in place over the hose and the thermostat housing tube. Release the clamp so that it holds the hose tightly onto the thermostat housing tube.

Step by Step :
12
Go back under the radiator and tighten the radiator drain plug back down with the pliers. Then fill the radiator back up with 50/50 coolant/water mixture. Once the radiator is full of coolant, crank the engine and let the engine run for about five minutes to reach operating temperature. Inspect the thermostat housing for leaks. Repair any leaks if necessary.

Step by Step :
13
Add more coolant to the radiator one that the fluid level starts to go down. Keep adding coolant while the engine is running until the fluid level stabilizes. Turn the engine off and inspect the thermostat housing again for leaks.
Tips & Warnings
Once the engine reaches the normal operating temperature, the coolant level inside of the radiator should go down. The coolant level going down means that the thermostat is working properly.

Always let the engine completely cool off before draining the coolant from the radiator. Hot coolant can cause serious burns to your skin.

Lexus . How to Replace a Thermostat in a 2001 KIA Sephia

The thermostat in a 2001 Kia Sephia's engine is responsible for controlling when coolant flows in or out of the engine. When the coolant reaches a certain temperature, it opens up and allows coolant to flow between the radiator and the engine block. When it goes out, it can either stick open or closed, either way, the result can be an overheating engine. Replacing it should take about 30 minutes.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Drain pan
3/8-inch ratchet and socket set
Replacement thermostat and gasket
Gasket scraper
50-50 pre-diluted coolant

Step by Step :
1
Make sure the engine is completely cool prior to working on the engine. Then place the drain pan underneath the radiator. Open the petcock at the base and let out approximately 1 gallon of coolant.
2
Unbolt the thermostat housing from the front of the engine using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Coolant will pour out at this point, so be ready for it and aim the hose toward the drain pan if possible. Remove the thermostat and the thermostat gasket.
3
Clean all of the mating surfaces on the engine and thermostat housing using the gasket scraper. Then install a replacement thermostat in the housing, with the thermostat orienting the same way as the original. Then install the gasket and the thermostat housing on top of it. Bolt it in place using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket.
4
Open the radiator cap and fill the radiator with the 50-50 pre-diluted coolant. Turn on the car and let it run for 15 minutes while the interior heat is set on the "high" position. Allow the car to cool for an hour, then add any additional coolant needed.
Tips & Warnings
Never work on the cooling system of a hot engine. You risk serious injury to yourself as the coolant will be over 200 degrees in most cases, and could severely burn you.

A water pump keeps the water circulating, and a fan helps keep the engine cool when you're stopped at a light and there's no air rushing through the fins in the radiator. (See Figure 4-9.) It also shows you what to do if your car overheats.
